About
Hi, I’m Lisa Quinn, owner, designer, and maker at Sagely Sparrow. Here are some things I’d like you to know about me:
I’ve been making jewelry for a while.
I began making jewelry when in college and started my first brand on Etsy in 2011. My first brand was a southern lifestyle brand, but I rebranded to Sagely Sparrow in 2016 because…
I’m a convert to Catholicism.
If you haven’t noticed, my jewelry is deeply routed in my Catholic faith. I converted to Catholicism in 2014 and found a love for the Saints during my conversion. That love made its way into my jewelry, so I eventually decided to create a brand with the Catholic Faith, and especially the Saints, at the center.
I’m a wife and mom of two.
I love this business. Making jewelry and running a business give me an incredible amount of energy and joy, but I consider my primary vocation to be wife and mother. My family will always come first, which means occasionally shipping times may be pushed back or my store may take a short pause. I always do my best to provide advanced notice.
I’m an aspiring metalsmith.
My most popular items are my patron saint necklaces and I love providing a unique and affordable gift options for Catholics. I also work in a material called metal clay, which I use to make my sterling silver studs and earrings- it’s metal that comes in a clay form and once fired in a kiln, everything except the metal is burned off and you’re left with just the metal.
In 2022, with a 2-year-old and a less-than-one-year-old, I decided it was time to take a 10-week silversmithing course. Since then, I’ve been continuing to learn and practice so that soon I can release so many new unique items- from rings to gemstone pendants and so much more. Hopefully these will begin to be released in 2024.
