Hidden Jerusalem Cross Gemstone Necklace

Amazonite is the gemstone that graces this necklace. Its light blue color and white streaks are reminiscent of ocean waves. The back of the pendant features a Jerusalem cross design cut into the back of the necklace, revealing the amazonite. It is fitting that the design of the stone looks like waves, as the Jerusalem cross is meant to represent the spreading of the Gospel to the four corners of the earth- thus one large cross, surrounded by four smaller ones. 

All of the metal on this necklace is sterling silver. Both the sterling on the pendant and chain have been darkened with a patina to contrast with, and thus enhance the lighter colors in the amazonite. The circle pendant is about 1.2in (32mm) in diameter. The total height of the pendant is 1.4in (36mm).
