It is approximately 18mm in diameter (0.7in) and is finished with a dainty sterling silver filled chain. There are different meanings behind the Jerusalem Cross, one being that it represents the spread of Christianity from Jerusalem (the large center cross) to the four corners of the earth (the four smaller crosses). It makes a great gift for a godmother or Confirmation/RCIA sponsor, whose role it will be to help raise a child, or support an adult, in the Catholic faith- thus helping to spread the faith!
